DisplayLinkは映像をソフトウェアで圧縮し、USB経由で送ります。本来1画面までしか対応しないポートを持つノートPCから、4Kの画面を2台動かせるのはこの仕組みによるものです。代償はドライバーの導入と、いくらかのCPUの処理時間です。
