Description
A 5mm natural rubber mat with a polyurethane top that grips better as you sweat. It smells of rubber for the first week.
Natural rubber provides the grip underneath while the polyurethane top does something less usual: it grips harder as it takes up moisture, so a sweating hand plants instead of sliding. A PVC mat behaves the opposite way.
That surface is also the fragile part. Alcohol wipes and oils destroy it, so clean with water and a drop of mild soap and nothing else. It smells of rubber for the first week, and that goes.
Seventy-two by twenty-six inches is longer and wider than a standard mat, which matters in any pose where a hand or a heel ends up off the edge. Five millimetres is the compromise between joint comfort and the wobble a thicker mat gives in balance work.
Natural rubber is heavier than PVC and that is not an accident: the weight is what keeps the mat still on a wooden floor. It also means this is not the mat to carry a long way, which is what the strap tries to mitigate.

Care and safety
Wipe with water and a drop of mild soap. Never use alcohol, cleaning wipes or oil: all three break down the polyurethane top layer and the grip does not come back. Dry it flat out of the sun, since UV degrades natural rubber. Roll it with the top surface outward.

Clear details for Yoga Mat
I chose Yoga Mat after comparing the practical details instead of relying on the product photo alone. Two facts were especially useful: materials — Natural tree rubber, polyurethane surface; and dimensions — 72 × 26 in; 5mm thick. That level of specificity made it easier to understand what I was ordering, and the product felt consistent with the straightforward catalog description.
A considered everyday choice
The information for Yoga Mat answered the questions I had before ordering. The catalog gives two useful references: activity — Yoga, Pilates, Stretching; and included items — Yoga Mat, Carry strap. Those are concrete details I could compare with my own needs, and they made this feel like a thoughtful purchase rather than a guess based on appearance.
Useful product information
What stood out about Yoga Mat was how much useful product information was available. I paid particular attention to country of origin: Spain. I also checked warranty: 2 years. Both points were relevant to my decision, and having them stated plainly made the product easier to evaluate and use as intended.
The practical details helped
I appreciated that Yoga Mat came with practical facts rather than vague promises. Two catalog details stood out: product weight — 2700 g; and materials — Natural tree rubber, polyurethane surface. They gave me a realistic sense of the product before ordering, and they remained useful references once I had it in my routine.
Well described and easy to assess
For Yoga Mat, the deciding factor was the clarity of the catalog description. It records dimensions — 72 × 26 in; 5mm thick; and activity — Yoga, Pilates, Stretching. That made comparison simple and set sensible expectations. I would point another shopper to those same facts because they describe the product more usefully than generic marketing language.
