Description
A borosilicate pour-over with a flat-bottom basket, which is more forgiving of an uneven pour than a cone. Makes two cups.
A flat bottom keeps water in contact with the whole bed of grounds, so an uneven pour still extracts evenly. A cone concentrates the flow at its tip and punishes a wandering kettle, which is why it takes more practice.
It uses standard flat-bottom papers, so there is no proprietary filter to run out of on a Sunday morning. The cork collar is the only part that should not go in the dishwasher.
Borosilicate is used for the carafe because it takes boiling water straight from the kettle without tempering, and the stainless band and cork collar exist so you can hold it while it is full.
Twenty-five filters are in the box, which is about three weeks of daily brewing, and after that any flat-bottom paper fits. The carafe holds 500ml, so two cups is the ceiling rather than a suggestion.
Care and safety
Carafe and dripper are dishwasher safe; hand wash the cork collar, which dries out and shrinks in a machine. Descale monthly in hard water. Rinse the coffee oils out straight after brewing rather than letting them dry on, because they go rancid and the next cup tastes of them.

Clear details for EmberPress Pour-Over Brewer
I chose EmberPress Pour-Over Brewer after comparing the practical details instead of relying on the product photo alone. Two facts were especially useful: materials — Borosilicate glass, stainless steel band, cork collar; and dimensions — Carafe 5.5 × 5.5 × 7.1 in. That level of specificity made it easier to understand what I was ordering, and the product felt consistent with the straightforward catalog description.
A considered everyday choice
The information for EmberPress Pour-Over Brewer answered the questions I had before ordering. The catalog gives two useful references: assembly requirement — No; and indoor outdoor — Indoor. Those are concrete details I could compare with my own needs, and they made this feel like a thoughtful purchase rather than a guess based on appearance.
Useful product information
What stood out about EmberPress Pour-Over Brewer was how much useful product information was available. I paid particular attention to care instructions: Carafe and dripper are dishwasher safe. Hand wash the cork collar. Descale monthly if your water is hard. I also checked included items: Glass carafe, Stainless dripper, Cork collar, 25 paper filters. Both points were relevant to my decision, and having them stated plainly made the product easier to evaluate and use as intended.
The practical details helped
I appreciated that EmberPress Pour-Over Brewer came with practical facts rather than vague promises. Two catalog details stood out: country of origin — Germany; and warranty — 2 years. They gave me a realistic sense of the product before ordering, and they remained useful references once I had it in my routine.
Well described and easy to assess
For EmberPress Pour-Over Brewer, the deciding factor was the clarity of the catalog description. It records product weight — 620 g; and materials — Borosilicate glass, stainless steel band, cork collar. That made comparison simple and set sensible expectations. I would point another shopper to those same facts because they describe the product more usefully than generic marketing language.
