Description
Stonewashed French flax linen. It arrives soft rather than needing ten washes to get there, and it gets softer from then on.
Stonewashing does the softening at the mill instead of leaving it to you, so the set is comfortable on the first night rather than the tenth. Linen carries on softening from there and does not thin out with age the way cotton does.
Take it out of the dryer slightly damp and most of the creasing falls out on the bed. Iron it if you want a crisp finish, though linen is not trying to be crisp, and the rumple is what most people buy it for.
European flax needs no irrigation in the regions it grows in and the fibre is long, which is why a linen set lasts decades where cotton of the same price thins out. The coconut-shell buttons are chosen so nothing plastic survives the set.
It comes with a cotton storage bag rather than plastic packaging, and the reason is practical as well as tidy: linen wants to breathe in storage, and a sealed bag is how a natural fibre picks up mustiness over a summer.
Care and safety
Machine wash warm with like colours. Tumble dry low and take it out slightly damp, which is what keeps linen soft; drying it fully is what makes it crisp. Iron only if you want that crispness. Wash it on its own for the first cycle, since new linen sheds fibre.

Clear details for Fallow Linen Duvet Set
I chose Fallow Linen Duvet Set after comparing the practical details instead of relying on the product photo alone. Two facts were especially useful: materials — 100% European flax linen; and dimensions — Duvet cover and two pillowcases; sized per selection. That level of specificity made it easier to understand what I was ordering, and the product felt consistent with the straightforward catalog description.
A considered everyday choice
The information for Fallow Linen Duvet Set answered the questions I had before ordering. The catalog gives two useful references: assembly requirement — No; and indoor outdoor — Indoor. Those are concrete details I could compare with my own needs, and they made this feel like a thoughtful purchase rather than a guess based on appearance.
Useful product information
What stood out about Fallow Linen Duvet Set was how much useful product information was available. I paid particular attention to care instructions: Machine wash warm with like colours. Tumble dry low and remove slightly damp — that is what keeps the softness. Iron only if you want it crisp. I also checked included items: Duvet cover, 2 × pillowcase, Cotton storage bag. Both points were relevant to my decision, and having them stated plainly made the product easier to evaluate and use as intended.
The practical details helped
I appreciated that Fallow Linen Duvet Set came with practical facts rather than vague promises. Two catalog details stood out: country of origin — Portugal; and warranty — 2 years. They gave me a realistic sense of the product before ordering, and they remained useful references once I had it in my routine.
Well described and easy to assess
For Fallow Linen Duvet Set, the deciding factor was the clarity of the catalog description. It records product weight — 2100 g; and materials — 100% European flax linen. That made comparison simple and set sensible expectations. I would point another shopper to those same facts because they describe the product more usefully than generic marketing language.
