Product details

Description

Cut on a true wrap, so the neckline and waist adjust rather than fixing at one point. The inner anchor tie takes the strain off the outer bow, which is what keeps the front closed when you sit down. Side seam pockets, no zip.

The lining does the work here. Cupro is a regenerated cellulose that stays cool against the skin, so a fully lined viscose dress hangs away from you rather than clinging the way an unlined one does on a warm day.

It suits anyone who wants one dress that covers an office day and dinner after it. The trade-off is care: viscose loses its body if it is wrung or tumbled, and a true wrap front is not what you want on a windy platform.

It is made in Portugal, where the mill and the sewing sit close enough together that the lining can be specified separately from the shell. That is why it is cupro rather than the bonded polyester most lined dresses use: cheaper to make, and warmer to wear.

Viscose creases in a suitcase and drops most of it out within an hour on a hanger, so it travels better than it looks like it should. The spare anchor tie is in the box because that tie is the part under load, and the part you would otherwise have replaced.

Fit notes

True to size, and the wrap adjusts roughly one size at the waist, so between sizes take the smaller: a loose wrap is the one that gapes. Hem sits mid-calf at 5'9" and at the ankle at 5'4". The waist adjusts but the shoulder and the crossover depth do not, so check those against the chart.

Care and safety

Cold gentle cycle or dry clean. Line dry in shade; do not tumble, which is what shrinks viscose and flattens the drape. Cool iron on reverse and press the ties flat rather than folded. The sewn-in care label is the controlling instruction if it and this ever disagree.

Clear details for Marlow Sage Wrap Midi

I chose Marlow Sage Wrap Midi after comparing the practical details instead of relying on the product photo alone. Two facts were especially useful: fit notes — True to size; the wrap adjusts roughly one size at the waist. Hem sits mid-calf at 5'9" and at the ankle at 5'4"; and materials — 68% viscose, 28% polyester, 4% elastane; 100% cupro lining. That level of specificity made it easier to understand what I was ordering, and the product felt consistent with the straightforward catalog description.

A considered everyday choice

The information for Marlow Sage Wrap Midi answered the questions I had before ordering. The catalog gives two useful references: fabric composition — 68% viscose, 28% polyester, 4% elastane; and care instructions — Cold gentle cycle or dry clean. Line dry in shade; do not tumble. Cool iron on reverse. The sewn-in care label is the controlling instruction. Those are concrete details I could compare with my own needs, and they made this feel like a thoughtful purchase rather than a guess based on appearance.

Useful product information

What stood out about Marlow Sage Wrap Midi was how much useful product information was available. I paid particular attention to closure: Self-tie waist, inner anchor tie. I also checked dimensions: See size chart — body circumferences and garment length, in inches. Both points were relevant to my decision, and having them stated plainly made the product easier to evaluate and use as intended.

I appreciated that Marlow Sage Wrap Midi came with practical facts rather than vague promises. Two catalog details stood out: included items — Marlow Sage Wrap Midi, Spare anchor tie; and country of origin — Portugal. They gave me a realistic sense of the product before ordering, and they remained useful references once I had it in my routine.

Well described and easy to assess

For Marlow Sage Wrap Midi, the deciding factor was the clarity of the catalog description. It records warranty — 1 year against manufacturing defects; and fit notes — True to size; the wrap adjusts roughly one size at the waist. Hem sits mid-calf at 5'9" and at the ankle at 5'4". That made comparison simple and set sensible expectations. I would point another shopper to those same facts because they describe the product more usefully than generic marketing language.
