Swiss Water decaf — no solvents. A Colombian and Brazilian blend, roasted a little darker to give it body.
The Swiss Water process removes caffeine using water and carbon filters rather than solvents, so nothing is left behind for you to taste. Decaf loses some structure whatever the method, which is why this one is a blend and roasted a shade darker.
It is 99.9% caffeine free rather than entirely free, which is the honest figure for any decaf. Storage is the same as for any fresh coffee: sealed, at room temperature, and not in the fridge.
Colombian Huila and Brazilian Cerrado are blended because each covers the other's gap: Huila brings acidity, Cerrado brings body, and decaffeination flattens both. The slightly darker roast puts back some of what the process takes out.
Swiss Water costs more than solvent decaffeination, and that is why this is priced level with the single origin rather than below it. Same bag, same valve, same storage rules.
