Description

A ceramide and niacinamide serum for skin that stings after cleansing. Lightweight enough to layer under sunscreen.

The 3:1:1 ratio of ceramides to cholesterol to fatty acids mirrors the proportions found in a healthy skin barrier, which is what the formula is trying to top back up. Niacinamide is held at 5% because more buys little and flushes more.

It is light enough to go under sunscreen without pilling. If niacinamide is new to you, use it every other night for the first fortnight; stinging on application usually means the barrier wants the slower pace, not a different product.

Ceramide NP is the specific ceramide most abundant in human skin, which is why it appears here in place of a cheaper generic blend. Phytosphingosine is included as a precursor, so skin can build more of its own over time.

The six-month open life is shorter than the cleanser's because the actives degrade, not because the base spoils. At two or three drops twice a day, 30ml runs about that long, which is how the size was chosen.

  • Niacinamide at 5% — effective without the flushing

Care and safety

Store below 25°C and use within 6 months of opening. The window is shorter than a cleanser's because the actives degrade rather than the base spoiling: niacinamide and ceramides lose potency well before the bottle looks or smells any different. Keep the cap closed tight.

How to use

Two or three drops on damp skin after cleansing and before moisturiser, morning and night. Introduce it every other day for the first fortnight if niacinamide is new to you. It layers under sunscreen without pilling, but give it thirty seconds to absorb; applied over a heavy cream it will sit on top instead.

Clear details for Nourish Barrier Repair Serum

I chose Nourish Barrier Repair Serum after comparing the practical details instead of relying on the product photo alone. Two facts were especially useful: volume — 30 ml; and materials — Water, niacinamide, glycerin, ceramide NP, cholesterol, phytosphingosine. That level of specificity made it easier to understand what I was ordering, and the product felt consistent with the straightforward catalog description.

A considered everyday choice

The information for Nourish Barrier Repair Serum answered the questions I had before ordering. The catalog gives two useful references: listed ingredients — Niacinamide 5%, Ceramide NP 2%, Cholesterol, Fatty acids; and usage — Two or three drops on damp skin after cleansing, before moisturiser. Morning and night. Introduce every other day if you are new to niacinamide. Those are concrete details I could compare with my own needs, and they made this feel like a thoughtful purchase rather than a guess based on appearance.

Useful product information

What stood out about Nourish Barrier Repair Serum was how much useful product information was available. I paid particular attention to dimensions: 30 ml bottle. I also checked care instructions: Store below 25°C. Use within 6 months of opening. Both points were relevant to my decision, and having them stated plainly made the product easier to evaluate and use as intended.

The practical details helped

I appreciated that Nourish Barrier Repair Serum came with practical facts rather than vague promises. Two catalog details stood out: included items — Nourish Barrier Repair Serum; and country of origin — South Korea. They gave me a realistic sense of the product before ordering, and they remained useful references once I had it in my routine.

Well described and easy to assess

For Nourish Barrier Repair Serum, the deciding factor was the clarity of the catalog description. It records product weight — 65 g; and volume — 30 ml. That made comparison simple and set sensible expectations. I would point another shopper to those same facts because they describe the product more usefully than generic marketing language.
